I Don't Know
Removing the Guesswork
Analysts and advisors are often asked for their opinions, expecting a definitive answer spoken with conviction.
Yes or No.
Buy or Sell
Bullish or Bearish
“I don’t know” is often not appreciated.
Don’t experts know?
When one is younger,
When one is less experienced,
When one is less confident,
The pressure to know, to have an answer, and to sound intelligent often leads to strong opinions spoken with conviction.
Almost if one feels the need to convince the other person of their knowledge.
As I get older, I realize the less I know.
As my proficiency grows, so does my confidence.
As my confidence grows, so does my ability to say,
“I don’t know”
Often, the market does not tell us enough information about future price direction.
Often, the price consolidates sideways as buyers and sellers fight for the trend.
We often do not see a high probability, low-risk trade or advice to give.
It is okay to say,
“I don’t know.”
