Durum - Hard Red Spring Wheat Ratio

Today, I charted the CWAD - CWRS wheat ratio showing the relative difference between the two types of wheat.

The chart used data from 2014 when the cash market became available in Saskatchewan.

We can see that Durum is priced high relative to Hard Red Spring Wheat historically.

The uptrend is intact; however, the short-term moving averages are crossing one another, signalling uncertainty in the market.

Will CWAD continue to be priced high relative to CWRS, or will the ratio return to historical levels in the 1.2 to 1.4 range?
